Coffee Morning
A big thank you to Muriel, Tim Irene and Steve for Stewarding and looking after us all. We had units from all over the country. The weather was great and a wonderful time was had by all.
Thank you to all campers who supported our THS this year at Stow-on-the Wold Rugby Club. Thank you too to all the Stewards who gave up their time to run the event and ensure it went well: Particularly Colin and Lynne who were there for the duration!
Another successful THS and we look forward to returning in 2025!
There was plenty to see and do and the sun stayed out! Trains to Matlock, right by the site on Saturday and Sunday! Also by a bus stop to Matlock and near to Peak Village Outlet Shopping centre just a short walk away. Thanks to Andrew and Cheryl for stewarding
The 56th AGM of the Midland Area of the Motor Caravan Section was held last weekend;
Wonderful Wolverley!
What a great site for our AGM! We are no strangers to the site but little wonder! Bus near. Pub on the spot, nice canal walks to the nearby village of Cookley or the other way to the carpet town of Kidderminster with all its shops and places to eat!. Hard standing and lovely friendly staff plus a room for social meet ups and our AGM. We have a new committee and plenty of new ideas..
Well attended and much laughter in the evening in the club room with quizzes (thank you Lynne!) to co-incide with St. Patrick’s Day. A wonderful buffet after the AGM thank you Steve and Helen for catering – Lovely cake – thank you again. Coffee morning with lots of chatter and laughter!
A big vote of thanks must go to Lynne and Colin for all the hard work in managing this year’s THS at Stow. Also to their team of Stewards and assistant Stewards who gave up their time to ensure its success: Edith, Steve & Helen, Christopher, Daniel & Hannah + Children, Tim & Muriel, Andrea & Rob. Finally, a big thank you to all the campers who supported the event!
Early Morning at Stow
Following on from 2022 we were delighted with the increased support we received this year. For anyone think of visiting our THS in 2024 the location is ideal – not far from Stow and supported by community buses that run most mornings for half a day, to surrounding cotswold villages.
Plenty of Room!
The site is spacious with plenty of nice walks around the area. The Rugby Club bar opens most evenings and this year there was a pizza van available on club open nights.
The weather was fantastic and the fellowship great!
Not only that but with the nearby shopping outlet just a few minutes walk, a bus stop outside the gate and a steam train running to Matlock on Wednesday what a wonderful way to spend the week! We will return!
